Stakeholders

NCC staffAs a people first organization, SPIN’s primary stakeholders are the people we serve and those who are waiting for services. We consider the children and adults who come to SPIN for services as our #1 customer and we strive to deliver customer service excellence to them at all times. The families of the children and adults we support are also important stakeholders or customers of our organization. We involve families in service plans and make them feel welcome to always be a part of what happens with their family member at SPIN.

Other stakeholders of SPIN include our funders who contract with us to deliver services including Pennsylvania DPW’s Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), Philadelphia School District, Philadelphia Community Behavioral Health (CBH), Philadelphia DBH/IDS, Elwyn MAWA, a variety of private organizations and insurers and private citizens. Our community is another relevant stakeholder viewing SPIN as a respected charitable organization that enhances the community by providing great service to its members and improving the quality of life for so many. SPIN strives to support vibrant, livable communities.

SPIN’s employees, who give of themselves to provide excellent services to people, are also important stakeholders of our organization. A high percentage of our employees become members of SPIN each year. SPIN’s Corporate Board comprised of community leaders, family members, SPIN employees and self-advocates assumes responsibility that governance of the organization is in accord with SPIN’s policies and ultimately assures the mission of SPIN is followed and achieved by its CEO and staff. Rounding out SPIN’s stakeholders is SPIN’s membership who elects the Corporate Board and approves the direction of the agency. Our members are collectively the number one donor to the organization and they make achieving our great mission possible.
