Luanne Maloney Corporate Officer, Program Support & Compliance
Luanne has a BA in Psychology from Lock Haven State College. With thirty-one years of experience in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Luanne began her career as a Direct Support Professional in 1980 and then spent several years as a live-in Residence Manager in a large eight-person community living home in central Pennsylvania.
Luanne came to SPIN in 1984 as a Program Supervisor in Residential Services and was later promoted to Client Program Director then Associate Director. Luanne was instrumental in supporting people to transition from institutions to community living during a time of rapid residential expansion with the closing of Pennhurst and downsizing of institutions. From 1990 2000, Luanne was responsible for Support Services including SPIN’s Adult Day Service at Norcom, Health Services, Therapy Services and Technical Assistance. During this time she was involved in the transformation of Norcom from an Adult Day Service to an inclusive, vibrant Community Center. Luanne returned to Residential Services from 2000 2010 as Corporate Officer, overseeing a major expansion as Residential Services more than doubled in size. In September 2010, Luanne became the Corporate Officer for Program Support & Compliance. In her new role she continues to oversee Health Services and residential admissions but now works across the organization to develop program strategies and assure continuous quality improvement and compliance throughout all funded programs.
Luanne came to SPIN because of its reputation for quality services, for its belief in people first and the expectation of being at the forefront of program change. Luanne is dedicated to the mission of SPIN and to providing leadership and direction for ensuring that services are developed and implemented in concert with standards of compliance and best practice and support the achievement of personal outcomes for the children, adults and families SPIN supports. Luanne is inspired daily witnessing the growth and positive outcomes of the people we have supported over the years as they have become part of their community and now enjoy the many blessings of an everyday life.
