Director Facilities 

The mission of Director of Facilities is to assure that all SPIN facilities and homes are maintained to the highest standards in accordance with the mission of SPIN. 

Additional responsibilities include: 

  • Manages and maintains the facilities rented and/or owned and operated by SPIN Inc.
  • Coordinates the department on a daily basis, to enable the completion of all work needed in each facility.
  • Schedules day to day work and plans for major projects as well as ongoing work orders.
  • Problem solves and changes directions as needed to address daily and ongoing challenges.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, directors and contractors to coordinate facilities markets.
  • Demonstrates fiscal accountability for management and implementation of the department’s budget. 

Demonstrates the ability to:

  • Understand knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting
  • Budget for materials and supplies
  • Proactively plan and organize work
  • Communicate in a professional manner
  • Anticipate and rectify facilities problems
  • Multi-task 

Requirements include: 

  • ·         Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associates Degree required
  • ·         Five years on the job experience with management of facilities.
  • ·         Experience with maintenance of commercial and residential facilities.
  • ·         Expertise in electric, plumbing, engineering, building systems
  • ·         Knowledge of HVAC, carpentry and painting.
  • ·         Supervisory experience required.
  • ·         Valid driver’s license, own vehicle and insurance.
  • ·         Patience and flexibility is a must.
  • ·         Ability to work with a variety of people in various settings.
