The Direct Support Professional provides direct support to adults with intellectual, developmental, and autism spectrum disabilities. 

The Direct Support Professional in Home and Community's primary role is to assist individuals to reside successfully in home and community-based settings by acquiring, maintaining, and improving the following skills

  • ·         self-help
  • ·         socialization
  • ·         adaptive skills 

It is essential that the Direct Support Professional understand the desired outcomes for each individual as prescribed in the Individual Support Plan (ISP) and implement strategies to achieve these outcomes.  

Minimum Requirements include:

  • ·         High School Diploma/GED required. 
  • ·         Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • ·         Current Child Abuse Clearances
  • ·          Valid PA/NJ Driver’s License
  • ·         One year of driving experience with a driver’s license
  • ·         Must own vehicle
  • ·         Must present current vehicle insurance
  • ·         Must have access to internet  

The ideal candidate must possess: 

  • ·         At least 2 years experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities or co-occurring 
  •           disorders. 
  • ·         Excellent communication, organizational/ time management skills 

Schedule 30 hours/week flexible schedule
