Volunteers/Interns
"Joy- an emotion of sudden pleasure
Satisfaction- being gratified completely
These are only a few words to describe how I feel about my 7 years at SPIN. As a young Temple University student, I entered my junior internship at SPIN's adult day program with much uncertainty and having no experience in the field. It took very little time for me to become hooked. Everyday, entering into a warm and caring environment soon convinced me that this was the exact field I wanted to pursue. I now hold the title of Service Coordinator who in addition to writing person-centered plans, promotes the physical and emotional well-being of all those who attend the day program at the Norcom Community Center.
It has been an invaluable seven years. I cherish my time working and developing relationships with fellow SPIN employees and more so with the very special and unique individuals we support. Everyday at SPIN memories are made and all the hard work and emotion put into my job is paid back a thousand fold. I love my job!
Thank you SPIN for the work you do and for affording me not only a wonderful career, but the most productive and rewarding life."
