SPIN is proud to announce that it has once again achieved a place among the globally elite with a ranking of
31 in Training Magazine's 2009 Top 125 for workforce training and development. This is the eighth year SPIN has been selected to achieve this prestigious recognition. One of the many professional development initiatives that resulted in this achievement was our Early Childhood Centers rise from Keystone STAR 2 to STAR 4 status for exceeding rigorous professional development training goals in all areas.
SPIN's many other innovative professional development initiatives including High Performance Management Training, Leadership Opportunity Programs, on-site college programs, online learning through the College of Direct Support and agency wide Personal Professional Development Plans are also hallmarks of this achievement. In 2008, SPIN also launched Esteam's Total Record software program, training every staff member in Adult Services to prepare automated progress notes.
Through SPIN's "Each One, Teach One" approach to learning and teaching opportunities, everyone in the agency is a part of this recognition. Representing the agency, Debbie Geissel and Edna Crane from SPIN's Professional Development attended the Top 125 Gala in Atlanta, Georgia on February 9, 2009 to celebrate this great achievement and receive the award on behalf of all of us. Congratulations to all SPIN staff for making SPIN a great place to work and for all that you do to enhance professional development and opportunities for growth!
